Melanie Griffith is preparing to battle soon-to-be ex-hubby Antonio Banderas for a huge chunk of their $65 million fortune, sources say.

The “Working Girl” star, 56, filed for divorce on June 6, just days after The National EN QUIRER published photos of Antonio, 53, embracing a sexy dinner date on the French Riviera, while Melanie was in Los Angeles.

The actress is seeking sole physical and joint legal custody of the couple’s 17-year-old daughter Stella, plus spousal support, and “she’s ready to go to war over their assets,” said a source.

A second source added: “Melanie is taking aim at the major portion of their fortune.

“That includes properties in Los Angeles, Spain, New York and Colorado, plus commercial properties in Los Angeles, Miami and overseas, along with several restaurants around the world.”

The crown jewel of the couple’s real estate portfolio is their family compound in L.A.’s Hancock Park. It boasts a 15,000-square-foot Spanish- style villa and an adjoining home that were worth an estimated $17.5 million in 2000.

Antonio splashed out over $5 million for a 7,450-square-foot home on 10 acres in Aspen in 2002, and in 1997 the couple paid nearly $10 million for a six-bedroom summer getaway, called La Gaviota, near Marbella, Spain.

“Melanie and Antonio are both savvy business people, and the $65 million estimate of their wealth may be low,” added the source.

“For now, Mel is putting on a brave face, but she’s also collecting the ammunition she needs to get everything she wants in the divorce.”
