Megyn Kelly Bitch Slaps Dick Cheney: “You Got It Wrong” On Iraq

Foxy MEGYN KELLY takes a chunk out of former VP DICK CHENEY over Iraq, his diss of Pres. OBAMA and those non-existent WMDs.

The Fox News Channel anchor sat down with the former VP of the Dubya Administration after Cheney wrote a poison-pen op-ed for the Wall Street Journal slamming Pres. Obama for his management of the ongoing crisis in Iraq

In his op-ed, Cheney wrote: "Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many. Too many times to count, Mr. Obama has told us he is 'ending' the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—as though wishing made it so. His rhetoric has now come crashing into reality. Watching the black-clad ISIS jihadists take territory once secured by American blood is final proof, if any were needed, that America's enemies are not 'decimated.' They are emboldened and on the march."

On her Fox News Channel show, “The Kelly File”, even Megyn took umbrage to Cheney’s piece. She read aloud a nasty response that appeared in The Washington Post.

She then asked Dick: "The suggestion then is that you caused this mess, Mr. Vice President. What say you?"

"Well, obviously I disagree," Cheney snapped, sitting with his daughter Liz. who co-authored the op-ed piece. "I think we went into Iraq for very good reasons."

Then, Megyn took Cheney to the matt, pinning him with his own words as she dissected his piece and pointing out several statements of Cheney's that were proved to be WRONG.

"Time and time again, history has proven that you got it wrong as well in Iraq, sir,” Kelly said.

“You said there was no doubt Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. You said we would be greeted as liberators. You said the Iraq insurgency was in its last throes back in 2005, and you said that after our intervention, extremists would have to quote 'rethink their strategy of jihad.' Now, with almost a trillion dollars spent there, with almost 4,500 American lives lost there, what do you say to those who say you were so wrong about so much at the expense of so many?”

"Well, I just fundamentally disagree,” Cheney replied. “You've got to go back and look at the track record. We inherited a situation where there was no doubt in anybody's mind about the extent of Saddam's involvement in weapons of mass destruction. We had a situation where, after 9/11, we were concerned about a follow-up attack that would involve not just airline tickets and box cutters as the weapons but rather something far deadlier, perhaps even a nuclear weapon."

Yes, “perhaps even a nuclear weapon”…one that was located somewhere in the back of YOUR MIND.
