MARTHA STEWART is determined to put a fresh face on her sinking TV career by redoing her own mug and getting a million-dollar full-body makeover, say sources.
The 70-year-old domestic diva decided on the reboot after the Hallmark Channel axed “The Martha Stewart Show” due to high production costs and dismal ratings, insiders tell The ENQUIRER.
“Martha believes the only way to salvage her TV career and make some sort of comeback is to undergo a full enchilada of beauty procedures – and she doesn’t care if it costs her a million bucks!” a source said.
The cancellation news came at the same time unflattering photos of Martha vacationing in St. Barts over New Year’s were published.
“Martha broke down intears when she saw the pictures,” said the source. “She said that she felt she looked frumpy, bloated and pasty – and every bit of her 70 years. She said it was no wonder that Hallmark didn’t want her show to continue.”
Young female viewers have turned off Martha’s show in droves, and she wants to win them back by losing at least 25 pounds and shaving years off her looks, according to insiders.
“Martha is going to smooth out her face with Botox and fillers like Restylane,” the source confided.
“She thinks her upper eyelids look droopy and could benefit from taking out some fat and snipping off the excess skin. The area beneath her lower lids needs tightening as well.
“She’s also considering a brow-lift or mini face-lift, liposuction to flatten her gut and muffin top, and a mini neck-lift.
“Martha will also be shelling out tens of thousands on a new wardrobe, and then when her new look is complete she will go off to some exotic locales to film some new promotional videos to get herself back on TV.
“All combined – the cost of beauty procedures, personal trainers, hairdressers, stylists, a new wardrobe, trips and a top-notch advertising campaign – Martha may have to spend a million to look like a million bucks!”
