Lifestyle queen MARTHA STEWART rushed into emergency surgery after her seeming docile dozing dog ATTACKED!
Stewart, 69, told the tragic story of her attack by beloved pooch Francesca when she leaned into "whisper goodbye" to the sleeping mutt.
Shocked out of a peaceful slumber, the dog reared awake and rammed into Martha, fangs bared!
She "felt a bit of whiplash as blood gushed" from her split lip, Martha blogged.
Cops wanted top take her to the hospital but had her driver from her home to the Northern Westchester Hospital where she received stitches in her upper lip.
She then posted photos of the mishap on her blog.
As for Francesca, the dog, only time (and Martha) will tell.
