MARTHA HOSPITAL DRAMA AFTER KNIFE ACCIDENT

description

Martha Stewart had to be rushed to the hospital after cutting her hand — the latest bad news in a series of setbacks the domestic diva has suffered since being released from prison.

The National Enquirer learned Martha, 64, was taken to the emergency room at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, New York, after cutting her hand with a knife. Docs sewed her up with eight stitches and sent her home after an hour.

Martha had been doing a Thanksgiving-oriented photo shoot at her upstate New York home when the accident occurred. As she posed carving a turkey, “the knife slipped,” she later recounted.

The wound only added to the setbacks Martha has endured since being found guilty of lying in an insider-trading scandal. She served three months in a federal prison for that offense last spring plus another three months in home confinement before being freed on September 1.

She was recently sued over unpaid bills by a jury-consulting firm she had hired to help her in her court case, and her much-ballyhooed show Martha Stewart: The Apprentice has not been renewed for a second season because of low ratings.
