MARIE OSMOND GOES TO ‘HELL’

description

Mormon mom Marie leaves trouble behind to new life in Sin City!

Marie Osmond,
49, has left years of heartache behind in Utah and moved to Las Vegas, where the devout Mormon is once again working with brother Donny and building a new life for her kids, sources tell The ENQUIRER.

Marie, born and raised in Utah, "has been through so much that she wanted to start over somewhere else," revealed a family insider. "Marie is happier than she’s been in a long, long time, and she is thrilled that her career is back on track."

Marie, who has eight children, has been married and divorced twice. After divorcing first husband Stephen Craig in 1985 after three years of marriage – and one child – she married Brian Blosil the following year.  Marie and Brian had two kids together and adopted five others. They announced their divorce in 2007.

By that time, Marie’s world had already started turning upside down. In May 2004, her mother Olive died from complications of a massive stroke. Just one day before her mother’s death, then-husband Brian was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor.

In 2005, a fire destroyed part of their home, causing $50,000 worth of damage. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Then, in July 2006, Marie attempted suicide in her house. She swallowed two bottles of pills, scribbled a suicide note on her bathroom counter, and curled up on the floor. A friend found her unconscious and called 911. She spent several days in the hospital.

The following year, Marie’s father George died.

But family tragedy isn’t the only thing Marie, 49, wants to put behind her. She’s also looking to escape the expectations of Utah’s Mormon community.

"She had a lot of pressure to live up to the ‘perfect lifestyle’ that a lot of Mormon women expect her to lead," added the insider.

"In Las Vegas, she’s just another entertainer."
