“Desperate Housewives” star MARCIA CROSS wasn’t at all desperate over planning her June 24 wedding — the first-time bride left it to her fiance!
Unlike her ultra-organized, perfectionist character Bree, the star delegated much of the wedding preparation to 48-year-old Tom Mahoney — even though it was also his first trip down the aisle.
The 44-year-old actress and the financial adviser agreed on a lavish Los Angeles ceremony. “Marcia just isn’t a detail-oriented gal,” explained an insider. “She left everything to Tom and a wedding planner.”
However, the actress did pick out her wedding dress — a stunner from New York designer Reem Acra, revealed the insider, and she requested lots of candlelight and summer flowers.
Romance blossomed when the Emmy-nominated actress met Tom in a flower shop in December 2004. They got engaged eight months later.
With Marcia’s show on summer hiatus, the couple will enjoy a long honeymoon in Africa.
