Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are turning to a therapist to help strengthen their six-year marriage, say sources.
Guy has already threatened to leave the demanding diva, according to reports — and they are making a bid to keep it together.
“Right now I think it’s 50-50 whether the marriage survives,” an insider told The ENQUIRER.
“They’ve been putting on a united front in public, but behind closed doors their marriage has come under strain. The bottom line appears to be that Guy sometimes feels he isn’t allowed to have an opinion.”
As the tension rapidly mounts, Guy has agreed to accompany Madonna for sessions with a top London marriage guidance counselor, say sources. At the center of the issues is Malawi baby David Banda, say sources, who made worldwide headlines when the couple adopted him.
“He was Madonna’s ‘Band-Aid baby’ — her attempt to inject something new into her marriage,” said the insider.
