MONICA LEWINSKY has launched a full-blown hunt for a hubby – after undergoing a glam head-to-toe makeover!
The woman once dubbed a “portly pepperpot” proudly displayed her new slimmed-down figure at what pals called her “coming out” at a recent New York City gala.
“Monica is finally ready for a real relationship,” said a longtime friend. “She’d like nothing better than to find a man who will love her for herself and then settle down, get married and have a baby.”
The 40-year-old former White House intern unveiled her new look at the Kitchen Spring Gala Benefit on May 22 at Cipriani Wall Street.
She glowed in a knee-length pink and black lace dress at the event, which came just weeks after she bared her soul about her notorious affair with then-president Bill Clinton in an article for “Vanity Fair” magazine.
Monica has struggled through a string of failed romances with men, including MTV comedian Tom Green, filmmaker Mick Reed and married high school teacher Andy Bleiler.
AS THE ENQUIRER REPORTED, she’d embraced the idea of dating women.
But sources say that brief flirtation with the idea of lady-love has ended, and Monica is now looking for a hot relationship with a man.
“Monica’s demeanor is open and inviting and says, ‘I’m back!’” Dr. Judy Kuriansky, a clinical psychologist and author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to a Healthy Relationship,” who has not treated Monica, told The ENQUIRER. “She seems as if she’s finally putting the past behind her and ready to embark on a new life.”
It’s a stark contrast to October 2012, when she was spotted in New York looking like a dowdy, overweight mess in a long black raincoat, sneakers, sunglasses and a black cap.
“It appeared as if she was covering up and hiding from the world,” noted Dr. Kuriansky.
But as we reported in April 2013, she was already beginning to plot her comeback.
“Monica has big plans for books, speaking engagements, a documentary and even a clothing line,” a close source said at the time.
“She wants to look her best for her return to the limelight.”
While Monica reportedly once crushed the scales at nearly 300 pounds, she was looking relatively svelte at socialite Heather Kerzner’s birthday bash in March 2013 in London, where she partied with royal rebel Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and her daughters Beatrice, 25, and Eugenie, 24.
Now, she’s showing off an even sexier look.
“Monica is not only writing a new book, she’s also writing the next chapter of her life,” said her friend. ”And she wants it to include a family of her own.”
