THE LONE AMERCIAN VS. ISIS IN SYRIA: THE REAL RAMBO!

MEET the fearless American hero who’s waging a one-man war against the savage terrorists of ISIS!

Appalled by the lack of a U.S. military response to the thugs’ horrific acts of murder and brutality against Americans and others, patriotic Wisconsin native Jordan Matson took matters into his own hands. “I decided if our government wasn’t going to do anything, I would!” declared the 28-yearold – and he did just that.

Jordan has been fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with Kurdish freedom fighters, known as the YPG, in Syria since September. “I couldn’t just sit and watch Christians being slaughtered anymore,” he said. “These people are fighting for their homes, for everything they have.”

Jordan was honorably discharged from the Army in Nov. 2007, and then worked in a food packaging plant near his Racine home. Though he didn’t serve overseas, he was disgusted to see ISIS [Islamic State of Iraq and Syria] terrorists capture so much territory earned with American blood during the Iraqi war.

“All the Americans that have died over there and paid their lives for that country so they could have a democracy – that just resonated in my mind,” he said. “I couldn’t live with myself letting that country fall, and all my brothers’ lives be for nothing.”

Determined to deliver some payback, Jordan began searching for a group that could use his military experience and passion. “I was Googling the Syrian civil war looking for a military force fighting ISIS,” he said. “I found the YPG on Facebook and contacted them.”

The Kurds struggle financially, so Jordan saved enough money over six months to buy a plane ticket and to support himself for the three years he’s committed to the cause. “They don’t pay me, but they treat me like family. If I need anything, they look after me,” he said.

And that’s what his new comrades are doing right now. They’re protecting him in a Syrian hospital as he recovers from a shrapnel wound to his foot suffered during a mortar attack along the Iraqi border. Jordan boasted that during the battle, he “delivered an ISIS bastard to hell!”

Meanwhile, he continues to serve by recruiting more volunteer fighters through YPG’s social media platforms. He’s been contacted by former soldiers from Europe, America and Australia. “ISIS has threatened all these countries,” he said. “The veterans of those nations who love their countries don’t want to sit by while this is happening.”

For now, Jordan said he can’t wait to return to action. “Once I can put a boot back on,” he said, “I’m back there.”
