LOHAN FREE TO REHAB

LINDSAY LOHAN was sprung after serving 14 days at 1:35 AM Pacific Time and spirited out the backdoor of jail to avoid paps to begin her rehab.

After yellow caution tape was strung in from Los Angeles County jail reminiscent of the melee that surrounded Paris Hilton's release, press groused about the ruse.

Lindsay, 24,  was quickly ushered out the back and into an unmarked van where she'll undergo rehab at UCLA Medical Center.

Reportedly, she'll be treating for a bi-polar condition which causes wild mood swings and for an addiction to an undisclosed prescription drug.  She won't be staying in the psych ward despite earlier reports.

She was originally to be granted 24 hours with her family in between jail and rehab but Judge Revel ordered her straight to rehab.  Lilo will spend 3 months in rehab.

Lilo, America's favorite hot mess, served less than a quarter of her sentence due to jail overcrowding.
