Heather Locklear has turned into a real-life terror on the set of Melrose Place, say her co-workers.
As the biggest star on the CW series, Heather is feeling the pressure to raise the show's floundering ratings - and she's making life hell for the cast and crew, say insiders.
An eyewitness source on the set told The ENQUIRER: "Heather's creating a lot of drama with her diva antics. It's making our lives miserable."
The 48-year-old actress, who is reprising her role as ad agency diva Amanda Woodward, helped turn the original Melrose Place into a ratings giant for FOX in the '90s. But these days, Heather is stressed over trying to make the new series a success.
"She's insecure and on edge. The responsibility is weighing heavily on her," divulged a friend.
The first sign of trouble on the new Melrose set, say sources, was the obvious tension between Heather and newly departed cast member Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.
"The friction between them was so bad that Heather demanded that the production assistants make sure she and Ashlee never were on set at the same time when they weren't shooting scenes together," revealed the insider.
Heather also reportedly sulked in her trailer when a co-star was late. She later had a meltdown when one of her outfits was missing a button, adds the insider.
"Heather was absolutely fuming over the button and said, 'You've got to be (bleeping) kidding me, right? What kind of operation is this?' She then stormed off to her trailer," said the insider.
Heather - who went through rehab last year for drug and alcohol problems - exhibited more tyrannical behavior when she arrived late to shoot an outdoor scene.
"On one of the coldest days in L.A., she made the cast and tons of extras wait outside to film," said the source.
When contacted by The ENQUIRER, Heather's publicist said that it is untrue that the star has been acting like a prima donna.
