LIZ TAYLOR’s still-devoted last husband LARRY FORTENSKY is using a psychic to communicate with the late screen goddess and insiders say her messages are helping him snap back from a deep depression.

Fortensky, 60, suffers from failing health and is living with his sister in a small town near Riverside, Calif., but his spirit is getting a big boost – from Liz’s spirit!

“Larry recently discovered a psychic and says he’s been in touch with Liz several times over the past few months,” revealed an insider. “The experience has touched his heart.

“Larry still calls Liz the love of his life. After their divorce, the two remained good friends and spoke by phone regularly right up until her death.

“The psychic claims to pick up on Liz’s energy by holding objects – a chain, watch and picture frame – that Liz gave Larry through the years.

“Liz is incredibly happy in the next world. She’s finally free of pain and able to keep watch over her children and her dearest friends.”

Fortensky made worldwide headlines when he swept the Hollywood legend off her feet after they met in rehab at the Betty Ford Center. He became her seventh husband in 1991 at a star studded wedding at Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch, but they divorced five years later.

Once rugged and handsome, Larry no longer drives and is estranged from the rest of his family. He lives off a small inheritance left to him by the Oscar winner.

The former construction worker was nearly killed in a freak fall down steps in January 1999 and still suffers from residual effects, including mobility problems, back and neck pain and memory loss.

When Liz died of heart failure in March 2011, Larry sank into a deep depression.

“Sadly, Larry is just a shell of his former self,” said the insider. “After Liz died, the poor guy absolutely went to pieces.

“He now lives like a ‘prisoner’ in his own home with his sister Donna, who basically is his caretaker. But the psychic has given him renewed hope that one day he and Liz will be together again. He’ll die a happy man, knowing Liz is waiting for him.”
