Survivor LISA WHELCHEL has contracted deadly West Nile Virus , she announced.
While the former Facts of Life star has been battling the gaming mudmen of “Survivor: Philippines” she is now facing her deadliest foe ever—the Grim Reaper.
The recently divorced star, 59, Tweeted the grim diagnosis — "Dr. just called with blood test results…I have West Nile. Ugh. I'm fine, just tired. Takes a year to recover".
While there is no confirmation Lisa contracted the potentially deadly disease in the Philippines jungles, the disease IS spread by mosquitoes.
Symptoms include severe fatigue and body aches and if left untreated the West Nile Virus can cause death.
Whelchel later Tweeted thanks to supportive fans.
She's "expecting a full recovery."
