Lindsay Lohan‘s father, Michael Lohan, has revealed she is being treated for abuse of the painkiller OxyContin in addition to alcohol. Lindsay — who entered rehab following her hard-partying Memorial Day weekend — is now getting the help she needs, her dad told E! Online. “I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care. And I’m satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers and things. That’s a very important step.” Lohan’s rep has not commented on the report.
Michael Lohan also says he is putting aside his differences with Lindsay’s mom, his ex-wife Dina Lohan, the New York Post reports. “I reached out because we have to put our differences aside and do what’s best for Lindsay. She’s all that matters. If Dina would just get on my page we can be there for Lindsay together.”
Lindsay was scheduled to begin shooting the film Poor Things this week. To accommodate Lindsay’s absence, the films producers (including Shirley MacLaine) said they will try to “rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation.”
