NEW DETAILS: inflammatory radio host Rush Limbaugh remained hospitalized in Hawaii after experiencing chest pains similar to a heart attack, according to the guest host on his nationally syndicated radio show
"Rush was admitted to and is resting comfortably in a Honolulu hospital today after suffering chest pains," the statement said.
"Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes and will keep you updated via rushlimbaugh.com and on his radio program."
Limbaugh, 58, was vacationing in Hawaii where his nemeses President Obama and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelois had been vacationing as well.
Witnesses say Limbaugh had been golfing at Waialae Country Club – a posh club next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort earlier this week, KITV reported.
The Honolulu television station reported yesterday that paramedics rushed Limbaugh to The Queens Medical Center in serious condition from the Kahala Resort.
In 2003 after an exclusive expose in The ENQUIRER revealed the conservative pundit’s addiction to pain killers, Limbaugh confessed his addiction blaming severe back pain and entered rehab.
The Enquirer also recently reported he is planning an explosive Fourth of July wedding to his fourth wife.
