Liam Neeson Not Ready To Wed Again

DON’T expect wedding bells to ring for “Taken” star LIAM NEESON and his gorgeous girlfriend – at least not anytime soon!

The 61-year-old Irish actor remains so heartbroken over the tragic loss of wife Natasha Richardson that he still isn’t ready to marry PR exec Freya St. Johnston, a source says.

“Liam learned how to live and love again thanks to Freya, and she’s very, very dear to him,” a family friend told The ENQUIRER.

“After nearly four years together, Freya told Liam she’s ready to make a lifetime commitment. But he’s confessed he still can’t get Natasha off his mind.”

British beauty Natasha – star of “The Parent Trap” and “Maid in Manhattan” – died at age 45 in March 2009 after she fell and hit her head while skiing in Quebec. Devastated, Neeson buried himself in work while helping sons Michael and Daniel – who were then just 13 and 12 – adjust to life without their mother.

About a year and a half after Natasha’s death, Liam met Freya, “and she brought him back to life,” said the friend. “They’ve traveled the world together and grown incredibly close. They make the perfect couple.”

Despite their closeness and Freya’s desire to marry, the ghost of Natasha still looms large in Neeson’s life. The “Non-Stop” star told a reporter: “Any time I hear that door opening I still think I’m going to hear her. Grief hits you like a wave, you get this profound feeling of instability. You feel like a three-legged table. The earth isn’t stable anymore.”

Despite Neeson’s ongoing heartache, mom of two Freya isn’t giving up. “She loves Liam with all her heart and wants him to commit totally to her,” said the friend. “But that won’t happen until he’s ready to let go of Natasha.”
