BRISTOL PALIN’s baby daddy LEVI JOHNSTON was left bruised and battered after his new bride got juiced on too many martinis and beat him mercilessly at a recent family gathering, say sources.
The 22-year-old hunk’s wife, Sunny Oglesby, was so out of control she even came after him with a knife, the sources add.
“Sunny went completely insane,” an eyewitness told The ENQUIRER. “She had two martinis and then she just snapped, ranting and raving about Levi not thinking she was pretty enough.
“She started biting, kicking and slapping him. Then she grabbed a knife and tried to stab him!
“Thank God Sunny’s mother and brother pulled it away from her as Levi ran off in terror. Finally, Levi’s father Keith was able to restrain her, but what Sunny really needed was a strait-jacket.”
The combative couple tied the knot in October. Levi is father to a son, Tripp, 4, with his onetime fiancée Bristol, who’s the daughter of former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
The evening started off well enough with Levi and his 20-year-old bride enjoying a romantic New Year’s Eve dinner date while a baby sitter watched their 4-month-old daughter Breeze Beretta.
Later, they went to see fireworks with family and friends and then returned to their Wasilla, Alaska, home where “all hell broke loose after Levi made a remark,” said the source.
“Suny lunged at him, calling him all kinds of names. He was too stunned to defend himself and curled up in a fetal position while Sunny worked him over.
“Finally, when she went after him with a knife, the family got between them. Levi was absolutely humiliated.”
The police were called, but Levi convinced them he was in no danger, and Sunny was already sleeping it off, said the source, adding: “It was a New Year’s Eve the couple will ever forget.”
