Officials confirm that ailing STAR TREK legend LEONARD NIMOY, 83, who’s suffering from lung disease, was hospitalized.

The Los Angeles Times reported that LAFD spokeswoman Katherine Main said paramedics rushed to the 800 block of Stone Canyon Road in Bel-Air, California at approximately 7:31 a.m. PST last Tursday.

A patient was hospitalized but she wouldn’t name the person with breathing problems.

According to property records, Leonard resides at the abode.

As NationalENQUIRER.com reported previously Star Trek’s favorite Vulcan had announced he was suffering from COPD chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, COPD includes two life-threatening conditions – emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

“I quit smoking 30 yrs ago,” Leonard had tweeted. “Not soon enough. I have COPD. Grandpa says, quit now!! LLAP.”

“Live long and prosper” is Mr. Spock’s catch phrase contribution to pop culture.

Reportedly, Leonard was hospitalized at the UCLA Medical Center but neither the hospital nor his long time rep would comment on the beloved thesp’s current health status.
