Mark David Chapman, the convicted killer of Beatle John Lennon, has had his parole denied for a fifth time
since becoming eligible in 2000.

Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, has been active in making sure her husband’s murderer stays behind bars.

"With his one act of violence in those few seconds, the subject managed to change my whole life, devastate his sons, and bring deep sorrow and fear to the world," Ono first wrote to the parole board in 2000.
