LANE GARRISON GETS 40 MONTHS IN JAIL!

description

Prison Break star Lane Garrison was sentenced to 40 months in state prison for vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence and two other alcohol-related charges. Garrison, who entered a plea of guilty, was driving drunk when he ran into a tree in December 2006, causing the death of 17-year-old Vahagn Setian.

Judge Elden Fox said he believed Garrison was remorseful but told the actor, “The public needs to know crimes like this need to be punished and, unfortunately, you have to be the messenger.”

Although the sentence is almost equal to four years in jail, Garrison will get credit for the 91 days he has already served and be eligible for California’s Work Time/Good Time early release program. He is expected to serve closer to 20 months. In addition, Garrison must pay close to $300,000 to the family of the boy killed and to the two girls who were in the car with them.
