The children of Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King are facing off in an Atlanta
Courtroom as they squabble over the rights to their mother’s personal papers which could squash a $1.4 million book deal.
This is third King Vs. King lawsuit in four months.
The combatants the surviving King children:, Martin Luther King III, Rev. Bernice King and Dexter King.
Dexter, as head of his father’ estate, is seeking his mother’s effects currently in custody of sister Bernice.
Bernice is refusing to hand over the documents claiming her mother did not want to participate in revealing King family secrets.
Dexter is asking the court to force his recalcitrant sibling to comply.
Book pub Penguin Group is threatening to pull the plug on the deal without the docs.
