Kim Kardashian’s last-ditch effort to shed 30 pounds in just two weeks may have put her life in jeopardy, medical experts tell The National ENQUIRER.

Pals of the 33-year-old mom claim she lost the baby fat after giving birth to her daughter over a year ago through an aggressive 500-calorie-a-day diet.

“This amount of weight loss in such a short time is extremely dangerous,” cautioned weight loss expert Dr. Aaron Tabor, who estimated the reality TV star’s weight drop total from photos.

Insiders say Kim also amped up her exercise to include daily boot camp classes, butt crunches and marathon swimming sessions. Tara Gidus, RD, the team dietitian for the Orlando Magic, agrees, adding that the dehydration from the diet makes extreme exercise all the more dangerous.

“Losing so much weight so quickly puts (Kim) at risk of losing muscle mass and dehydration. Crash dieting suppresses the immune system and increases her risk of illness. In other words, she’s suffering from malnutrition.”

The reality TV star called herself out on Twitter recently when she whined about how much she’s struggled to lose the baby fat. “Ughhh my hips and butt are huge now,” she wailed. “Can’t seem to lose the last 15-20 pounds.”

Kim’s weight loss has not only led to fears for her health, but also doubts about how she did it.

“Patients could have liposuction to achieve that much weight loss this quickly, and claim to have a very low-calorie diet as a cover story, so I wouldn’t rule that out,” Dr. Tabor explained.But if she is being honest, Kim may have put herself at risk for nothing.

“This type of diet doesn’t reprogram a hungry brain, so she’s surely going to relapse and regain all the weight,” he added, pointing out that putting the pounds back on could present 
a whole new set of health 
problems.
