The reality diva’s first record bombed in 2011, but she believes Grammy-winning rapper Kanye’s magical music touch can turn her into a singing star.
“Succeeding as a vocalist has long been one of Kim’s dreams, but she made a fool of herself the first time she tried to launch a music career,” said an insider. “She swore that she’d never try again, but with Kanye in the picture she’s changing her tune. Kim believes that Kanye’s connections and talent could turn her into the next top 40 singing sensation.”
Critics pounced on Kim’s first recorded single, “Jam,” with one reviewer slamming her for sounding off-key, even though her vocals were “severely” altered by an electronic optimizing device.
Despite the barbs, Kanye is plotting the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” bombshell’s music career, said the source.
“Kanye has booked two months for Kim at his Honolulu recording studio,” revealed the source. “He promised to write killer tunes for her and line her up with several of his producer pals.
“He’s also promised Kim that he’ll bankroll the entire venture.”
As The ENQUIRER has reported, 32-year-old Kim is ready to marry Kanye, 35, in a $20 million ceremony as soon as her divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries is final.
Insiders also told us that Kim is vowing to spend $200,000 on cutting-edge fertility treatments so she can quickly get pregnant.
But first she’ll head to the music studio, said the source.
“Even though Jay-Z and many of Kanye’s other music industry friends are begging him to think twice about staking his reputation on Kim’s questionable talent, Kanye is plowing forward,” divulged the source.
