KILLING BILL SOFTLY

Despite the death of star David Carradine, Quentin Tarantino's promised next installment of the Kill Bill franchise is in BIG trouble!

The Inglorious Basterds writer/director is facing a a legal battle with a lawsuit from a writer who has accused the lawyer of copying his idea.

Writer Dannez Hunter alleges in a lawsuit that he submitted a story to QT's masters at Miramax Films about a character named Ren.

In the Kill Bill films, the femme samurai warlord of the Yakuza (and subject of Uma Thurman's vengeance) is a character named O-Ren played by Lucy Liu.

In the legal docs Hunter claims Tarantino took the "concept/character name Ren" from his screenplay submission and also alleges he "applied"  for a job at Miramax and yet "was never given a return phone call".

The seeming disgruntled author has filed suit in California Superior Court demanding royalty payout from the two Kill Bill(s) said to be more than $1 million.
