KID ROCK ARRESTED AFTER WAFFLE HOUSE BRAWL
Kid Rock was in a brawl with a Waffle House customer early Sunday morning after his performance at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, authorities said.
"He and five members of his entourage were involved in a fight with a male customer inside the Waffle House," said Mekka Parish, a spokeswoman for the DeKalb County Police Department. Apparently the customer-turned-victim recognized a female member from Rock's group and had a few unkind words for her.
"It escalated to a physical altercation between Kid Rock and that male customer and moved outside to the parking lot," said Parish, adding that at some point the customer punched out a restaurant window.
Rock and his posse left the restaurant in his tour bus, but was stopped by police soon after the incident and taken into custody. Rock spent 12 hours behind bars for a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.
The other customer didn't get off as easily. He was charged with criminal damage to property, a felony. The customer was treated at a hospital for cuts and bruises. No one in Kid Rock's group was hospitalized, police said.
