KHLOE KARDASHIAN and LAMAR ODOM are at war with money-hungry “momager” KRIS JENNER for butting into Lamar’s basketball career.

The two are fuming that Kris used her connections to try to get Lamar – who was cut from the Dallas Mavericks – a spot with the Los Angeles Clippers so she can keep them close to home and part of her reality empire, say sources.

“Lamar feels that Kris is treating him like a little boy whose mother – in this case his mother- in-law – is trying to fight his battles for him,” revealed a source close to the Kardashian family. “he’s totally embarrassed that she tried to get the Clippers to consider him.

“He has sports agents and a manager for that, and he can handle his REAL career just fine on his own.”

Khloe, 28, had an ugly confrontation with her bossy mom and told her flat-out that 32-year-old Lamar “is a grown man who can take care of himself,” said the close source.

“She added, ‘Butt out Mom or we’re off the show!’”

The couple feel that Kris’ interference is not for their own good but rather born from her selfishness and greed, according to an insider.

“Kris’ main concern is money and keeping Khloe in Los Angeles so she can appear on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’ ” explained the insider. “She knows that Khloe will go wherever Lamar goes, and that could hurt the family business.

“Khloe and Lamar rightly feel that Kris is trying to prevent them from moving to another city to further his basketball career. “They aren’t Kris’ puppets – yet they feel like they’ve been treated that way.”

Married since September 2009, Khloe and 6-foot-10 forward Lamar moved back to L.A. from Dallas in early April, and they’ve reportedly been frequenting a fertility clinic to finally start a family together.

Much to Kris’ dismay, the couple decided to put their reality spinoff “Khloe & Lamar” on hold in order to direct their energies toward reviving Lamar’s floundering basketball career.

Said the source: “Now, Kris’ greatest fear is losing her flagship show, ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’”
