Overweight director Kevin Smith was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland, Calif. to Burbank, Calif. over the weekend because he’s “way fat.”
Smith — whose hits include Mallrats, Clerks, Chasing Amy and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back — used his Twitter feed to tell fans he was kicked off a plane because he didn’t fit properly in a single seat. He says he was deemed a safety risk.
Kevin posted a picture of himself sitting on the plane with his cheeks puffed out and tweeted, “I’m way fat, but I’m not there just yet,” and “If you look like me, you may be ejected from Southwest Air.”
Southwest apologized via Twitter and gave him a $100 voucher.
