Keanu Reeves trial heats up!
The pap suing The Day The Earth Stood Still remake thesp told jurors he can’t remember giving conflicting accounts of the injury he claimed was caused by Reeves.
Brazilian shutterbug Alison Silva wilted under a barrage of questioning by Reeves’ defense attorney Mark D. Williams. Silva admitted being beating by fellow paparazzi while shooting pix of Britney Spears. The Spears assault came a year after the Reeves incident which Silva claims left him unable to work. Silva acknowledged that the beating left him unconscious and forced him to postpone surgery on his left wrist
Testimony from several witnesses including a first responder contradicted Silva’s prior testimony that The Matrix star hit him with his Porsche while Silva was snapping pix. Despite the pap’s claim he dropped his camera, a fire captain said he was still clutching it when EMTs arrived.
Silva also claimed that Reeves fled the scene after the alleged hit-and-run but in fact, Reeves remained at the scene, summoned help and attempted to talk to the pap after his pavement fall.
Weirdly enough after testimony from medical experts as to the extent of wrist damage sustained by Silva in the fall, he gushed to Reeves, “I’m a big fan,” he said waving the same hand. He even admitted that Reeves had been cordial to him – even after the trial began Monday.
The case is expected to go to jury today.
