Katie Holmes has been so overwhelmed by pre-wedding jitters that the future Mrs. Tom Cruise has been lashing out at those around her — including her groom-to-be.
Sources say the former “Dawson’s Creek” beauty became so irritable and out of sorts in the days leading up to her nuptials she began breaking out with cold sores and dissolving into tears at the drop of a hat.
Katie has been plagued with cold sores, which are caused by the herpes virus, since childhood. Stress can bring on an outbreak of the unsightly blisters.
“The wedding pressure finally got to her and left Katie a nervous wreck,” a family friend told The ENQUIRER.
“For days, Katie had Tom walking on eggshells. It seemed like nothing he could say or do pleased her.
“And making each decision over the wedding was sheer agony for her.”
