Things are not looking good for Katie Couric. The CBS Evening News, which Couric solely anchors, dipped to a mere 5.9 million viewers — making it the first time in the broadcast’s history the ratings have plunged below 6 million, according to The New York Post
CBS officials have reportedly said they will continue to have patience with Couric and give the broadcast at least a year to find its footing.
