The former “Today” show star, 56, dated a 17-years-younger toy boy for five years before hooking up with her banker beau John Molner, 50.
But now the host of the syndicated talk show “Katie” is telling pals she wants a guy just like the Super Bowl MVP – 28-year-old Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco!
“KATIE ABSOLUTELY ADORES Joe Flacco, and her fascination with younger guys is ruining her relationship with John,” an insider said. “She’s just like Demi Moore – a cougar who has a thing for young studs.”
The TV cutie apparently dreams of catching a guy like Baltimore’s talented signal-caller.
“Katie says that she wants to find a boyfriend just like Joe – a tall, dark, and handsome athlete who’s successful and, most importantly, young,” said the source.
Katie – who recently joked about a disastrous long-ago date with talk show dinosaur Larry King – has been unlucky in love since her husband Jay Monahan died of colon cancer in 1998. Her relationship with toy boy Brooks Perlin, 38, imploded in late 2011 because her two daughters, Ellie and Carrie, felt he could never measure up to their beloved dad.
Meanwhile, her romance with Big Apple banker Molner is going nowhere, pals say.
“Katie and John date, but it hasn’t blossomed,” said the source. “She doesn’t see a future with him. I think it’s because she just has a thing for much younger guys.”
