Kathie Lee Gifford will rejoin former co-host, Regis Philbin and his new co-host Kelly Ripa for the 20th anniversary Live!.
On September 14, Gifford will make her first guest appearance since leaving the show in 2000. Reports have speculated that Michael Gelman, the show’s executive producer, banned Gifford from future appearances, but he denies the talk.
“We’ve been waiting for the right time to have her back, and this is a big event so we’re happy to have her back,” Gelman about Kathie Lee’s upcoming guest appearance.
Though Gelman hasn’t personally talked to Kathie Lee about her guest spot, she has remained a regular dinner companion of Regis’ for years. She has even appeared as a guest on Kelly Ripa’s sitcom, Hope & Faith.
