JULIE ANDREWS: MARY FLOPPINS

description

UK fans outraged after double dose of stinky diva Whitney Houston and still-no-voice JULIE ANDREWS.

Andrews whose dulcet tones made her superstar in such films as Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music disappointed concert goers in England who dropped top Euro to see a star.

The Times of London reported that ticket holders demanded refunds after "An Evening With Julie Andrews", despite the fact that it was apparent that Julie, 74, wouldn’t be doing her greatest hits.

"I feel totally robbed and I would like the ticket price back," a livid fan griped. "I saw at least 2,000 people walking out. It became like a second-rate pantomime."

Reportedly, Andrews did sing (and partially speak) several songs, including "My Funny Valentine" with the aid of a backup singers.

The ENQUIRER previously reported that Andrews’ four-octave vocal range was destroyed after a botched throat operation in 1997 that left her barely able to speak let alone sing.

"It is horrifyingly obvious that, despite knowing the notes to sing, Andrews most resolutely cannot sing almost anything" a reviewer in the Daily Mail slammed Julie.

Yet the concert promoter said that the show began and ended with a thunderous standing ovation while others wonder if Julie didn’t break an unwritten law of show business – to do a comeback tour as she really is  – not a prefab wax work.

Can we next expect a cover of "Garden Party" by Julie?

For those that don’t know, THAT was singer Ricky Nelson‘s response to a gig he did in Madison Square Garden in 1972 when he was boo-ed by ‘fans" for not doing his old hits.
