JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS ARRESTED
Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested for public drunkenness and breach of the peace at Dublin Airport on Sunday, say police.
Rhys Meyers, 30, was on his way to London when he was confronted by police over his alleged erratic, abusive behavior at an airport gate and at a desk of the British airline BMI. After Rhys Meyers refused to calm down, police arrested him and charged him with two counts of violating the Public Order Act, then permitted him to pay an undisclosed cash bail on condition he return to Dublin District Court on Dec. 5 for his arraignment.
Rhys Meyers has been to rehab twice for alcoholism.
