JOHN EDWARDS DEMANDS TRIAL BE DISMISSED!

Love rat, accused conspirator in Presidential campaign fraud, JOHN EDWARDS implores Feds to throw his conspiracy case out of court!

Former Senator John Edwards’s lawyers filed a barrage of court docs asking a federal judge to dismiss criminal charges against the disgraced two time Presidential loser.

In hundreds of pages, Edwards’ attorneys contend the historic charges against Edwards are unconstitutionally vague.  They also claim no crime occurred and even if one had, the government did not give him a "fair warning" that his misconduct would violate campaign finance laws.

As The ENQUIRER previously reported in an exhaustive investigation that sparked the Federal indictment, Edwards had funneled monies earmarked for his presidential campaign from two major contributors, 100 year–old Listerine heiress Rachel “Bunny” Mellon and Dallas moneyman, the late Fred Baron, to orchestrate a conspiracy of silence to hide his mistress Rielle Hunter and love child from public scrutiny.

"While much can be said in questioning how Mr. Edwards conducted himself throughout this saga, the allegations in the Indictment that he violated campaign finance laws should not be among them," Edwards lawyers stated in one of the voluminous documents filed yesterday. "The distinction between a wrong and a crime is at the heart of this case."

The lawyers also call the case an abuse of prosecutorial discretion.

"This case is about politics," they contend.

Edwards, a shrewd former trial lawyer, knows his way around the court room, as does his legal team, as they attempt to gag the American legal system by cramming wads of  paperwork down the throat of the judicial process.

"Like most men in his situation, he naturally wanted to shield his extramarital affair from public view to avoid hurting his wife and children and to protect his reputation,” the lawyers wrote.

“Likewise, Ms. Hunter understandably wanted to carry out her pregnancy away from the stress of a scandal. Those concerns would exist whether or not Mr. Edwards was a candidate."

BUT Edwards WAS a Presidential candidate  — which is the entire point of the federal indictment.
