JENNIFER LOPEZ spiced up her Italian honeymoon with a string of supersexy surprises!

The brunette bombshell treated her new hubby Cris Judd to luscious lingerie, rivers of pricey champagne, romantic outings and even a trip to Romeo and Juliet's balcony!

"Jennifer adores Cris -- and she's making their honeymoon the sexiest ever," a source close to the 31-year-old beauty told The ENQUIRER.

Jennifer and Cris, a dancer/choreographer, tied the knot in a fairy-tale wedding on September 29 in Calabasas, Calif.

Later that day, the blushing bride tucked the first of many surprises -- pulse-pounding lingerie -- into her suitcase.

"Jennifer's maid of honor -- her best friend Arlene Rodriguez -- selected sexy black negligees and other beautiful pieces from some of New York's high fashion boutiques for her," the source revealed.

After the wedding bash, the newlyweds jetted off to Italy for their honeymoon.

Their first stop was Milan -- where Jennifer stole the spotlight at the runway show of fashion designer Donatella Versace.

That night Donatella feted the lovebirds with a grand banquet on the grounds of her fabulous Villa Fontanelle.

Set on gorgeous Lake Como, the villa was lit by 3,000 torches and adorned with 7,000 yellow roses and 1,000 scented candles.

More than 150 guests sipped Cristal champagne, danced to three orchestras and dined on a choice of 20 gourmet dishes.

"It was the most glittering party of the season," a source in Italy told The ENQUIRER.

"Two hundred tuxedo-clad waiters served drinks and dinner.

"Jennifer was still distraught over the terrorist attacks in America.

"But she said, 'I just decided to forget about all the fears and dangers. I want to have life smile on us again.' "

An eyewitness added: "Jennifer was glorious in a stunning emerald green gown.

"When Cris reached out his hand to her and swept her onto the dance floor, it was perfect -- like a Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie!"

The newlyweds planned to visit a 14-th century house in Verona, the setting for Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet."

"The house, called Casa di Giulietta, is where the famous balcony scene in 'Romeo and Juliet' happened," said the source.

"Cris and Jennifer want to go there for its sheer romance."

Venice was also on the newlyweds' itinerary. "Jennifer has been dreaming about gliding through Venice in a gondola with Cris," said the source.

"He's her knight in shining armor. And now that they're man and wife, she wants him to know he's the center of her universe!"
