JEN’s ticking BIO-TERROR clock

JENNIFER ANISTON’s baby dream has been shattered.

Despite her vow to make 2010 the year she becomes a mom, the actress is putting her career ahead of motherhood to try and rescue her fading star power.

The 41-year-old Friends favorite, who’s been rocked by a string of box-office disappointments, has become so insecure, she’s decided to focus on back-to-back movie projects that will keep her busy through 2011, say insiders.

"Jen started off 2010 with a New Year’s resolution that she’d become a mom, whether that meant adopting or getting pregnant," a pal told The ENQUIRER.

"But Jen freaked out after her romantic comedy The Bounty Hunter bombed, so Jen is feeling insecure about her career."

Well aware her biological clock is ticking, Jen recently made one of the most difficult choices of her life – putting work before motherhood.

"Right now, Jen feels like her career is faltering, so she wants to make work her priority for the foreseeable future," divulged her pal.

As an actress, super-busy Jennifer has 14 films in various stages of development – and she’s attached to 22 movies as a producer.

Since her marriage to Brad Pitt fell apart in 2005, Jen has been repeatedly unlucky in love.

The beauty asked sometime-boyfriend Gerard Butler to move in with her after their romance heated up on set – a move she mistakenly hoped would pave the way for a baby.

"Jen tried to persuade Gerard to be her baby daddy, but he turned her down flat," revealed the source. "Before that, she’d begged John Mayer to start a family, and he refused, too.

"After her fling with Gerard fizzled, Jen took stock of her life. As much as it bothers her, she came to the conclusion that having a baby alone is biting off more than she can chew."

Last fall, she reportedly visited an orphanage near Tijuana, Mexico. Jen even consulted with close friends Sheryl Crow and Courteney Cox about adoption and the possibility of artificial insemination.
