JENNIFER ANISTON has a bizarre new beauty secret – she’s been getting snakeskin pedicures!

The wacky treatment, which involves attaching a sliver of snakeskin to toenails and painting over it with a clear sealant, can cost up to a whopping $300. But pals of the fashion-savvy 44-year-old say Jen loves the results!

“It sounds gross, but it really does look amazing,” a close friend told The ENQUIRER. “Jen first heard about the toenail touch-up from buddy Chelsea Handler, who had it done in Las Vegas.”

The peculiar pedicure is the brainchild of Monterey, Calif., nail pro Terri Silacci, who says it took her six months to perfect the reptilian treatment.

“It’s a strange process,” said the pal, “but Jen’s absolutely thrilled with the results – perfect toenails.”

Fortunately for avid animal-lover Jen, no snakes were killed to adorn her tootsies. A synthetic version of the snakeskin can be used to create the same effect.

“Jen wouldn’t use the real deal because (her fiance) Justin Theroux wouldn’t approve,” said an insider. “He’s been a strict vegetarian for years. And they love animals. In fact, they recently adopted a pup together.”

Jen was reportedly devastated when she was criticized by an animal rights group for wearing a leather dress to the People’s Choice Awards in January.

“There’s no way she was going to turn around and start pasting dead animal skins to her toenails,” added the source. “The synthetic version looks just as fabulous.”
