JEN’s GREEK STYLE DILEMMA

AS her big day approaches, Jennifer Aniston is wrestling with a major wedding dilemma because of a promise she made to her beloved godfather Telly Savalas before he died.

The  44-year-old  beauty is planning to marry Justin Theroux in Hawaii at the end of the year. But she’s tormented by guilt because that would mean snubbing her Greek roots and breaking a vow she made to the late “Kojak” star to always cherish her heritage. He died in 1994 at age 72 when Jen was 24 and about to begin her career-making run on “Friends.”

“Jen adored Telly and looked up to him for advice,” revealed an insider.

“He was so proud of their Greek heritage. He always emphasized to Jennifer that she should never abandon her roots, and she promised to respect his wishes.

“That’s why she’s so torn over where to hold her wedding. She knows that tying the knot in a Greek church would be uplifting for the community and a beautiful tribute to Telly.”

But Justin, 42, is pushing hard for Hawaii because that’s where he and Jen fell in love, said the source. Jen’s decision weighs even more heavily because she wed first husband Brad Pitt in an extravagant showbiz ceremony on a Malibu bluff, complete with a gospel choir and fireworks.

“A lot of people will feel let down if Jen ignores her roots again,” said an insider from the Greek Orthodox community.

As a compromise, Jennifer is considering doing both – getting hitched in Hawaii and having a follow-up ceremony at a Greek church in Los Angeles. Said the source: “Jen will do something to honor her heritage.”
