“Jen and Eddie got VERY close after running into each other a lot on the Oscar circuit,” a close pal of Jen and Justin exclusively told The National ENQUIRER.
The dapper British star, 33, married his longtime girlfriend just weeks ago, but that hasn’t stopped him from gushing over Jen, 46.
“He smothers Jen with compliments, and she laps up the attention,” said the insider. “She says his accent and boyish charm are irresistible.”
But Justin is not amused by the attention being lavished on his lady love, sources said.
“He saw that Jen and Eddie have been texting and calling each other, and confronted her about it,” said the pal.
While Jen has denied there’s any funny business between them, “she invited Eddie over to her house for cocktails when Justin wasn’t around,” the insider said. “They were discussing the possibility of doing a movie together, but they definitely had a blast.”
As The ENQUIRER has reported, Jen and Justin have put off their wedding plans so she can ride the wave of her career resurgence with the highly praised “Cake.”
With Justin heading to New York soon to film his show, “The Leftovers,” he’s been jawing at Jen about spending time with Eddie, said the pal.
“But Jen refuses to stop talking to Eddie,” said the source, “and she warned Justin that he needs to grow up and deal with it!”
