Music megastar JAY Z is embroiled in a secret love-child scandal that could ignite a nasty billion-dollar divorce battle with his wife BEYONCÉ.
In explosive court papers obtained by The National ENQUIRER, it’s revealed that Shawn Corey Carter, known by his stage name Jay Z, is desperately trying to avoid taking a DNA test that could prove he’s the father of an adult son!
The love child, Rymir Satterthwaite, blew wide open the 21-year cover-up by telling a New Jersey court that his mother, Wanda, had steamy sex sessions with Jay Z in the early 1990s – before he would go on to become one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time.
The ENQUIRER has learned that a devastated Rymir, through his legal guardian, filed a civil lawsuit in Dec. 2014, in which he accused the 45-year-old rapper and entrepreneur of blatantly lying to a court to avoid taking a paternity test!
The revelations are so shocking they could destroy the couple’s fragile seven-year marriage, just months after they renewed their vows in a blaze of publicity. In October, Jay Z and “Crazy in Love” diva Beyoncé attempted to defuse a whirlwind of whispers that they were ready to split after leaked footage showed the sister of Beyoncé, Solange, attacking Jay Z in a New York City elevator.
The pair said “I do” – again – while traveling in Europe.
“Beyoncé convinced herself that things had changed after the hell Jay put her through last year,” said a friend.
But at the same time, it can now be disclosed, Jay Z was battling behind the scenes to contain the controversy over his alleged son Rymir, an aspiring rapper.
And according to sources close to the couple, the revelation is sure to jolt Beyoncé, who has one child with Jay Z, the adorable Blue Ivy, age 3.
One pal close to hip-hop’s royal family said: “Beyoncé is in pieces over what a divorce means to her. But if Jay Z has fathered a love child, I’m sure she wouldn’t have any option. There’s only so much anyone can take!”
What’s more, Beyoncé could have reason to be concerned: According to renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, photo evidence could prove beyond any doubt that Jay Z fathered Rymir because the pair share many features!
“Their facial structures appear very similar,” said Dr. Youn, who compared photos The ENQUIRER snapped on Feb. 3 to images of the “99 Problems” singer.
“It could be a sign of inheritance!”
In a series of blockbuster disclosures, we can reveal Jay Z has somehow been able to keep a lid on the crisis for five years … until now.
Wanda unsuccessfully tried to compel Jay Z to submit to a test back in 2010 after another man turned out not to be Rymir’s dad.
A family court judge in New Jersey originally dismissed the case only because he ruled his court lacked jurisdiction over Jay Z – and not because he concluded Rymir was not fathered by Jay Z.
Indeed, Judge Edward McBride’s dismissal of the case paved the way for Rymir’s guardian – a paralegal named Lillie Coley – to file the civil lawsuit last year, claiming that Jay Z lied.
In the papers, Lillie alleged Jay Z and his lawyer, Lise Fisher, provided “fraudulent” and “false” information to a judge.
She further argued Jay Z lied to the court when he claimed he lived in Manhattan, New York, and not New Jersey, where he reportedly owns three houses.
Rymir and Lillie also argued Jay Z fibbed when he said his legal residence was on Broadway in Manhattan, when in reality, the address mentioned is the record producer and entrepreneur’s office.
Another address cited by Jay Z is a parking garage, it’s claimed! [A spokesperson for Jay Z did not return The ENQUIRER’s request for comment.]
But as the courtroom drama plays out, Rymir has been struggling to pay college and medical bills, he bemoaned on his website – all while dealing with the trauma of profound rejection!
News of the scandal will send shockwaves through the music community but should come as no shock to those who’ve followed Jay Z’s tumultuous personal life.
Previously it was alleged that the rapper fathered a young boy 13 years ago with Trinidad model Shenelle Scott, although Jay Z has never admitted to it.
In 2011, Jerald Andrews said his son, Malik Sayeed, was wrongly identified as the father of Shenelle’s son, and claimed that DNA tests proved Jay Z was the boy’s biological dad.
“At the time [he] was born, my son Malik thought he was his child, but they did DNA tests,” Jerald said in a published interview.
“It’s been determined that [the child is] Jay Z’s baby.”
Jay Z reportedly paid the beauty $1 million in return for keeping his name off the birth certificate.
Now Beyoncé’s closest pals are terrified this latest controversy could jolt her into a costly divorce.
“Jay Z would walk away with the majority of their fortune,” said an insider. “Beyoncé’s put everything in his hands and she would be totally lost without him – so the idea of hiring a lawyer and going through a messy divorce is an unthinkable nightmare!”
