A guest appearance on NBC’s “Las Vegas” led to marriage for comic-actor Jay Mohr.
Nearly two years after meeting actress Nikki Cox on the show’s set in early 2005, the lovebirds made plans to tie the knot on Dec. 29 in an intimate evening ceremony at Los Angeles’ posh Hotel Bel-Air.
“Jay knew immediately that Nikki was the one for him – and they were engaged within months,” a source close to the comedian told The ENQUIRER.
A sumptuous $300-a-plate dinner was planned for a guest list that included Jay’s L.A. Dodger pal Nomar Garciaparra and friends from the cast of “Las Vegas,” as well as Jay’s comic buddies.
And according to the source, Nikki, 28, and Jay, 36, were eagerly anticipating a romantic honeymoon in the Bahamas.
Said the source: “Hollywood can be a rough place – but Jay and Nikki are known for being incredibly sweet people, and they’re lucky to have found each other.”
