Spider-Man‘s nemesis, the Green Goblin, actor James Franco is heading back to school!

Franco who graduated from UCLA last month has been secretly taking English lit courses for years.

Now the studious thesp is moving from Los Angeles to New York to matriculate at NYU graduate school.

"I am going back to school because I love being around people who are interested in what I’m interested in," Franco told The New York Daily News.

"For me, being able to act in movies is not having it all," the Emmy nominated James Dean thesp admitted.

"I am interested in other things, and I take my interests seriously.

"That is the best way to learn."

Franco plans on honing his writing skills further.  He’s already co-written and directed The Ape, Fool’s Gold and Good Time Max.

Guess this former Freaks and Geeks freak who dropped out of college in his teens to pursue acting really is a geek.

Good for you, James!
