Reportedly, LIZ TAYLOR, MICHAEL JACKSON & MARLON BRANDO fled the 9/11 terror attacks in world’s WEIRDEST road trip!

Imagine if you will all 3 titans of pop culture squeezed into a car in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks on New York. Fact or far-flung fantasy?

Tim Mendelson, Liz Taylor's former assistant, first divulged the details in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine.

In early September 2001, Jacko had invited lifelong pal Liz and Marlon to be his guests at a pair of concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York.

After the hijacked planes plowed into the World Trade Center towers on 9/11/01 all airplanes were grounded – both international and domestic flights.

The only way to escape New York was by car. And that’s what Liz, Jacko and Brando did.

Mendelson claimed in the VF interview that they wound up driving a modest rental car all the way to Ohio from Manhattan – a distance of 500 miles. But not all was well among the bosom buddies.

"Brando allegedly annoyed his colleagues by stopping at every KFC and Burger King they passed along the highway,"  Vanity Fair reported in the interview.

"One can only imagine the shock their appearance caused at gas stations and rest stops across America."

But Mendelson’s story of the tubular titans freewheeling across America hit a speed bump denial – from one of Liz’s other personal assistants – an anonymous one.

The unnamed source told the glam mag, "Elizabeth stayed behind.

"She went to a church to pray, and she went to an armory where people were who couldn't get home or who'd stayed behind to look for the missing. She also went down to Ground Zero, where she met with first responders. Eventually, the airports opened and she flew home.”

The reality of Jacko, Brando and Liz’s fabled road trip may never be answered satisfactorily — since all three participants are now dead.
