A GUILTY verdict has been reached in the trial of Dr. CONRAD MURRAY, the man accused of killing MICHAEL JACKSON.

The GUILTY verdict was announced at 4:17 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST at Los Angeles Airport Courthouse.

The Houston-based cardiologist now guilty of involuntary manslaughter, he could face up to four years in state prison and lose his medical license.

Prosecutors painted Dr.  Murray as a reckless physician who abandoned Jackson while he was drugged under the effects of the powerful anesthetic Propofol on June 25, 2009.

Attorneys for Murray, a  Houston-based cardiologist, saidt Jackson was addicted to the drug and self-administered the fatal dose when Murray left his bedroom.

Murray did not testify during the trial but had previously told cops he gave Jacko not only Propofol but other sedatives the morning Jackson died.
