THREE-months-pregnant Jennifer Love Hewitt is threatening to quit her risque TV show “The Client List” if execs don’t heed her demands!
The 34-year-old actress, who also serves as the show’s executive producer, is insisting that her co-star and real-life baby daddy, fiancé Brian Hallisay, have a child with her on the hit Lifetime drama next season.
The show revolves around financially strapped single mom Riley Parks – played by Jennifer – who takes a job in a massage parlor, offering “special services” to help make ends meet. Hallisay plays her jailbird husband Kyle, and actor Colin Egglesfield is her brother-in-law, a cop named Evan who’s in love with her.
“Jennifer’s really throwing her weight around,” said a show insider.
“Either Brian’s character gets Jennifer’s character pregnant again next season – or else she won’t be coming back.”
But top execs want Egglesfield’s character to father the baby, a plot twist they feel will bolster the show’s slipping ratings.
“The producers have been developing the relationship between Riley and Evan,” said the source. “Viewers love them as a couple, and it would be a blockbuster to see her get pregnant on the show with his child.”
But the execs now find themselves between a rock and a hard place. “The ratings have been down and the series hasn’t been renewed for Season 3 yet,” said the source. “Jennifer’s plan could be a show killer. But if she doesn’t get her way, she could walk away from the series altogether. It’s a real mess.”
