Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall will reprise their roles from the hit HBO comedy Sex and the City for a much-anticipated movie follow-up. Variety reports ladies will begin filming this fall. Longtime Sex and the City producer Michael Patrick King is slated to direct from a script that he penned.
The film was close to happening two years ago but Kim Cattrall reportedly derailed the project by insisting on script control and a salary in the same ball park as Sarah Jessica Parker’s. According to Variety, Cattrall is happy with her new deal, one that gives her input on her scenes, a future series deal with HBO and a big fat paycheck.
