IT WAS DRUGS!Friends, relatives say substance abuse killed Anna Nicole Smith

When she was a little girl, Anna Nicole Smith said she wanted to be the next Marilyn Monroe.

Now, just like the screen goddess she idolized, the 39-year-old blonde bombshell has shockingly died in mysterious circumstances amid allegations she was the victim of a drug overdose.

Illegal narcotics and prescription drugs were reportedly found by investigators in the hotel room in which Anna Nicole collapsed.

Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger said a private nurse called 911 after finding Smith unresponsive in her sixth-floor room at the hotel, which is on an Indian reservation. He said Smith’s bodyguard administered CPR, but she was declared dead at a hospital.

Later Thursday, two sheriff’s deputies carried out at least eight brown paper bags sealed with red evidence tape from Smith’s hotel room.

The mother of the former Playboy model says she has little doubt what killed her daughter.

“I think she had too many drugs, just like Danny (Smith’s late son),” her mother, Vergie Arthur, told an interviewer on Friday.

“I tried to warn her about drugs and the people she hung around with. She didn’t listen.

“She was too drugged up.”

A former attorney for Anna Nicole in the Bahamas, Michael Scott, said: “Undoubtedly it will be found at the end of the day that drugs featured in her death as they did in the death of poor Daniel.”

Her 20-year-old son Daniel died of a drug overdose in Anna Nicole’s hospital room three days after she gave birth to her daughter Dannielynn.

Pals say heartbroken Anna Nicole was still trying to come to terms with Daniel’s death, and deal with the fallout from the custody battle over her daughter.

She was found unconscious by husband and lawyer Howard K Stern in their suite at the Hard Rock Seminole Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Paramedics were called but found her “non-responsive.”

A witness said: “It was absolute madness. Anna suddenly collapsed, and everyone started to majorly freak out.

“The paramedics got to the hotel in minutes, put a tube down her throat and tried to resuscitate her.”

A member of staff said: “There was pandemonium. Howard was screaming for paramedics. They got to work right away.”

The medics were seen pumping her chest and desperately trying to revive her as she was rushed on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance.

One onlooker said: “It didn’t look at all good for her. She seemed totally lifeless. Her bodyguard flew past me like a bat out of hell.”

Anna had flown into Florida from her Bahamas home on Monday and reportedly had been ill in the days leading up to her death.

Dannielynn was not with her mother when she died. She is in the Bahamas – where she was born – in the care of a family friend.
