Oscar winner Robert Downey Jr. comes clean about his bum ticker.
No, we’re not talking about Iron Man alias billionaire Tony Stark’s bad heart. We’re talking about Downey’s bad luck in love.
Downey recently confessed to Parade how love ruined and then ultimately redeemed him.
"I was in love with Sarah Jessica Parker and love was clearly not enough," he admitted.
Downey spent years battling drug and alcohol abuse when he met and fell madly in love with Susan Levin.
Susan laid down the law to Robert, "I’m not doing that dance with you".
"Before I met Mrs. Downey, I just didn’t give a goddamn," Downey said.
"What changed is that I cared.
"Instead of getting high, I push my nose as far as I can into the grindstone. The reward is the feeling of well being, the sense I am walking toward a place I want to be."
